Lecture 1 : Top 3 Platforms to Sell Your Photos

Hello, Photopreneurs!

Here’s a review of the top three apps/platforms you can use to sell mobile phone photos online from South Africa, including sample pricing, who they’re aimed at, and how to pick the best fit for your style.

Editor's note: It is essential that you understand what photos you are taking and who is looking for those photos. For example, are you taking lots of images about day-to-day objects or exclusive shots of high-end landscapes or seascapes?

To put this another way, are the people you are looking to sell to high end buyers of fine art, interior designers for small business offices, big brands looking for mass consumer product pictures?

It's also important to think about whether you are going to sell exclusively to this platform who may not allow you to sell to any other platforms or do you want a platform that doesn't mind if you sell your same photo over and over.

Personally, I'm interested in selling my photos of Table Mountain online, most likely to private buyers, maybe some business buyers and I want to create a store with my own brand and be able to sell those photos in other places too which is why I've chosen Picfair.

My photographic identity is a landscape and seascape photographer creating beautiful images which transport people to some of the places that I visit, giving them an emotional experience.

@Photopreneur Academy will follow the Picfair journey so we can all learn together. Free members get a few highlights and tips on occasion. Paid members get in depth commentary, analysis and guidance. Paid members get to ride on the train with me and see the full movie, while free members get to see a short reel of the journey.

It is important to note that I do use ChatGPT and other AI to craft the articles I write.

Happy snapping,
